A Wolf's Tale

One day there was 2 wolves
Each wolf was a stray
but they played each and every day
One loved another together they were the same
The wolves grew old but still loved the same game
But one day one wolf didnt come back
he didnt run away he got himself trapped
the wolf got over it but happiness was in lack
so the poor lonely wolf stayed grew cold and made his own pack

I am enjoying reading the many diverse poems written by the many wonderful poets writing and sharing here at PoetrySoup today. I am happy that yours was among the ones I had the pleasure to read Riely. Love, Carol
I hate when I do this....I comment and forget to RATE it...so here I am rating it.... OH! And I love poems that tell a story....but hidden beneath is a much deeper meaning that what you are actually reading. Reminds me of my One Drop poem...although, no one has yet to really see what I am talking about... Have a great morning!
Not sure what this poem means....but when I read it....it sounds to me like 2 kids growing up, becoming best of friends. Growing older...I'm think the wolf "got himself trapped" in either a manipulative friendship...or the "trap of woman"...wink wink...friendship faded, wolf eventually got over it but was never the same, became bitter and eventually made their own friends again. I can relate to this in many ways...not sure if this is what you meant, but this is what I got...thanks for sharing!
