Author's Notes: This poem, "A Winter's Night," is written as a "Triolet" which is a French verse form. The rhyme scheme for this Triolet is: ABaAabAB. All verses of this Triolet are set in Iambic Tetrameter. This particular poem highlights the elemental beauty one might see on a winter's night as the frozen air brings fresh fallen snow, and the snow's very luster on this dark night reflects even God's true starlight. As with the earlier Triolet I posted today, "Our Winter Love," I believe you will also find the magical words of this Triolet, and the message of wondrous beauty it presents to the reader well-worth your time to read and reflect on.
