A Wind-Circled Canopy

After the peace of dawn—after the sigh of the forest.
A delicate moose pirouettes amid lush foliage,
Hidden roots twist and turn, a wild life force—
Reaching into the planet's very core.
The branches of the canopy sway and stretch,
Twigs become tangled, erratic, and intense—
Strong and bright, it moves toward the clouds.
Here, the wide wind swings and wanders.
Within the forest dwell big and little creatures,
Glowing, fragrant smoke rises from the woods.
A variety of species with unusual wings—
They settled under the ancient oak trees.
