A Wilderness of Mirrors Poetry Contest

Sponsored by Craid Cornish

Life is a mirror and will reflect back to the thinker what he thinks into it." Unknown ************************************************************** A Wilderness of Mirrors Hurled in a wild wilderness of mirrors I know not the exit door for escape, All I can do is like birds to twitter, Light from the mirrors seems at me to ape. Where lies the real door I cannot know, Some gate may lead to edge of precipice Some may fling the frame of my mind to blow Some may lead me my journey`s end to miss. Dark dull devilish thoughts sprout in my mind, Are bells of doom likely for me to knell! It`s critical in urgency to find Before it`s time for me to bid farewell. In the quietude of the wilderness I lightly close my eyes to the surrounds Rein in the wicked woeful waves of stress And free myself from thoughts turning around, Peering down the depth of my inner self I spot my inner light greeting a gate, Winking to me the door that`ll lead myself To the path of truth as laid in my fate.
