A Whisper of Spring

 I heard the springtime coming
in the whisper of the breeze
I saw the skies were changing
and it put my soul at ease

I felt the temps as they rose
and saw some blooms peek through
In the meadow, a melody flows
 as birdsongs celebrate the new

 The fragrance of the lilac,
how it lilted on the breeze
as daffodils dance to springtime's rhythm track
The flutter of the butterfly, a ballet if you please
