A week ago, I rode the train And saw a show; did not refrain From eating out and seeing friends, The things on which my life depends. I’d planned a trip, was set to go, Not knowing all that I now know. I shopped in stores and waited for My quilting class, which I adore. A week ago I volunteered But school group tours have disappeared. So much has happened, oh, so fast. How long, I wonder, will it last?

I try my best to avoid mingling with large crowds – except when shopping at market. I see few people putting into practice those things experts warn us not to do – kissing friends, shaping hands, etc. A few restaurants have closed, but the pizza joints and coffee shops are packed as usual. / M

We're all so up in the air. Schools were canceled today for 3 weeks - minimum! What are working parents supposed to do? These are unprecedented, scary times for people. Thank you, Ilene, for putting words to the uncertainty.

Frightening thought Ilene, in such a short space of time man has met his match. The only way to beat it is everyone shares knowledge, I'm dreaming though, that won't happen. Tom
