A Way To Go
Could you show me the way to go
My flesh is willing, but my legs are slow
I cannot read the traffic lights
I use a walker so that I might
Walk upright and steady,
But that doesn't stop the traffic lights from changing,
Before I am ready.
Red, Amber, Green, GO, GO.
Oh dear, my legs are slow.
Get real, old duck, try to move faster,
Faster, Faster, before disaster
It comes in the shape of the car
That did not notice your struggle from afar.
He was driving without care,
And did not see you there
Standing in the middle of the road,
Not knowing which way to go.
