A Wasted Heart

I put my heart into your hand

It rested there, quietly waiting

But your love never came

My heart lay and grew cold

Now I do not know you

And my heart is lost to me.

Catherine. I came here to read your poem from another. Taste of bitterness from an unrequited place; how well the heart knows. But lucky for you, like your poems, we're all connected one to another. -Richard
