A Walk In Love

One late summer’s day, Through the marshes of Cape May, Where the old lighthouse stands, My love and I walked hand in hand. The air was filled with buzzing bees, And a warm pine scented ocean breeze. The lighthouse seemed to follow along, And the birds sang us a pretty song. In a sea of reeds we two strolled, Remembering times of old. When not too far had we gone, We stopped at an arbor we came upon. Standing under a blanket of vines, I in her arms and she in mine, Staring into each other’s eyes, We knew we had found paradise. For a moment time stood still in bliss, And we two lovers stole a kiss... Twas a walk in love one late summer’s day, That shines as bright as the light of Cape May.
