A Vulnerable Cry

Let me disclaim The pain of your leaving It was your game Your seduction by cunning Then the spitting Of me like seeds of fruit Where worms writhing Claw my fame with fanged tooth The gritty gound That catch my tears in vain In nought abound To errase scandal's stain On my pure day Of grief, gathered in clouds. O love astray In cold cheap cheering crowds Tell them it began Not at the fault of me But in the plan Of her desire, two free Years and then fire Mud me alone in mire It thaws the burn Not of lies, but my yearn.
