A Visit To the Met

With temps and the humidity No longer off the chart, We made a visit to the Met* Since we’ve been starved for art. A Winslow Homer show would soon Be packing up and so, It seemed to be the perfect time For us to up and go. The hordes had not arrived yet, Thus the galleries allowed Us time for a relaxing look Without a pushy crowd. Before we left, we stopped to see Our faves – Cezanne, Monet, Van Gogh and several others, Making it a lovely day. Although the Covid variant Is here and on the move, It’s time for us, museum-wide, To get back in the groove. *Metropolitan Museum of Art

I love knowing you are giving yourself a chance to live, not letting fear keep you away from art!

I enjoyed your rhyme, Ilene, and your poem stirred a desire with me to visit an art gallery. Always a good time.

Sounds like a great day out Ilene and you were lucky not to have to share it with the crowds. Tom

Gosh, I wish I lived close to a museum like that. We have a nice Huntington Museum, but nothing remotely like the grandeur and the collection of the Met. Thanks for sharing this with us, Ilene.
