A Virtuous Woman
A VIRTUOUS WOMAN
When I first looked at her, my heart skipped a beat,
I wanted so badly this new girl to meet;
Her face was so radiant, her smile was so sweet,
A virtuous woman was she.
I told her my failures, she said, “I forgive,”
She made all my life once again worth to live;
I cannot get over the thrills that she gives,
A virtuous woman is she.
I want to be with her the rest of my days
And tell her I love her and give her my praise;
I want no one else to come into our ways,
A virtuous woman is she.
These words written to “My Cup Runneth Over” and dedicated to Patsy Mae Rogers.
