A View On Death

i see a light, is it for me

that bright white light, but can it be

am i finished on this earth

have i proved to god my worth

does he need me up above

am i worthy of his love

for all my sin's i do repent

but now im done, my time is spent

the voice is calling, "come this way"

for one last time, i kneel and pray

i pray for all i leave behind

i hope that life to them is kind

time slows down and then i see

our lord and saviour next to me

with just one smile he takes my hand

and takes me from this mortal land

i lay at rest within the light

i rest with god, and that's alright.
