A Very Merry Christmas Card
POEM " A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS CARD " by martin gedge
It only happens but once a year
A time to spread the Christmas cheer
to friends and family far and wide
where hand in heart and light collide
with all the need of hope and care
around the house in words and prayer
with open smiles and festive lift
to every one that gives the gift
not packaged wrapped or ribbon bow
but deep inside where feelings grow
in song in soulful music plays
to where the gentle manger lays
a child is born this special time
we shall rejoice to share in kind
and to reflect on moments past
the ones you lost the ones that last
onto a bright and shining star
as to the wonder where you are
in heavens home beyond the skies
in fields of grace and precious eyes
with cause and joy to celebrate
to share your love reciprocate
this message from my heart to you
a special wish that's warm in true
with all my best in this regard
