A Vase of Purple Flowers
A vase of purple flowers
Makes a table, drab and plain,
Into something much more festive,
Like a place to entertain.
Though no visitors are needed,
For each lovely vibrant bloom
Brings a warm and cozy feeling
When I walk into the room.
It amazes me how something
Like a corner-store bouquet
Can add such a dose of sweetness
To an ordinary day.
