A Valentines Day Away

I wake up in this cold, cold bed
A thousand miles from home
I see your face up in my head
Your love follows where I roam

Too many trips, too many miles
Away from your loving arms
The countless looks and warm, warm smiles
Warding off this hard worlds harms

I yearn to feel you up close and near
No miles or clothes between
Safe and knowing my loving dear
Your looks and smiles now seen

I count the hours until we meet
Heartbeat by heartbeat, I go
Measuring time in till we greet
I miss you, miss you so

To the Great Love of my life, my beautiful Marianne

This poem is sorta sad. It ends with hope that they will get back together. It is a romantic poem and well written.
