A Vacation
I was out wondering
On this beautiful sunny morning.
It is astonishing
How my nose is capturing
The smell of the ocean which my mind is now
registering.
A little further down sea oats are dancing
In the breeze. I can hear the waves crashing
Over the rise I see white crested waves rolling
In towards the shore. My mind is unravelling.
The wind blows sea spray in to my face how refreshing
I lick my lips they taste salty on examining.
The warm white soft sand is pampering
My bare feet as I am whimpering.
This is living!
I hear seagulls singing
In an off key chorus watching
For any signs of food. Now their flying
Scavenging
Directly over me. How inspiring.
Sea shells, coral, starfish, sand dollars, and driftwood
Are being
Left behind. The water is giving
Up the seas treasures as my mind is thinking
This my boy is traveling.
