A Typical Day

I woke up bright and early today Everything will be okay First, I ate breakfast and hoped that I didn’t choke Next, I took a soothing shower hoping that we’d have stable power After wearing my best outfit I hoped my neighbour wouldn’t throw a fit I took my keys from the table and my hands began to shake Were my clothes suitable for the weather? My resolve started to break I walked to the door But began to pace in front of it When I couldn’t take it anymore I curled up into a ball I finally calmed but the sun was down I stood up and walked to bed Maybe next time I’ll have more luck
