A Twinkle In the Sky

Are we more than just a twinkle in the sky More than a reflection of someone’s eye Where to find meaning, an endless pursuit With so many thoughts, my mind can’t compute Perhaps it’s best not to struggle in vain For what we don’t know, causing us pain To accept and be grateful that we’re here today Let such contemplation just dwindle away

Pretty profound, Mike. The struggle to overcome vanity is a lifelong endeavor. In the end, isn't that what it all boils down to, Vanity. To think that our life mattered. This poem could spark a real good philosophical debate.

This is great Mike. It is so easy to analyze and get wrapped up in thoughts of unanswered questions. You could not have said it better regarding acceptance and gratitude which helps us live in the moment . Well done :)
