A Trip To Me

Here inspiration is free
a miracle is born, the blind can see
the salty smell in the air, a picture of tranquillity
a fresh dive to experience lasting memory
season after season to find a reason with family
here to flee
to rejuvenate life a splash of sea
and a drop of ecstasy
basking in the sun
swimming in the fun
worry free – troubles to bury on this turf
and here to be – the breeze to surf
a glimpse of the Titans – a splash of glory
to discover hidden treasure at sea –
a trip to me
I rediscover the purpose of my life,
deep in the coral reef

The crashing waves call out to the spirit
sailing away into the distance with the arrested heart
on a perpetual tidal wave goodbye
on the horizon where the sea marries the sky
memory banks stored on the beach inside a shell
enticing one to stay like a deep magic spell
a dolphin to maybe greet; a shark to never meat
to watch the humpback high above the water rise;
to hear the seagull the fish terrorise

Someday,
my ashes will rest on the seabed
my castle fortified with this sea sand
until the beautiful sunset eludes the shoreline
the sink to the bottom of the sea will be Devine
