A Trifle
Ah yes! Here's a dessert that beggars belief and restraint.
Temptation's delight, so easy, so naughty, so nice!
Ripe sweet berries, buried so deep in rich sherry-soaked cake.
Innocent spoon-fulls linger so much longer than they should.
Fingers of soft custard blur the lines - 'Should I?', 'Could I?'
Lush mouth-fulls of cake, fruit and custard melt all doubts away.
Easy, a trifle to make - so wicked, naughty, and nice!
