A tribute to poetry soup
T hat's been coming for a while
R egardless of your age or group
I t always makes you smile
B eginners are made to feel at home
U nderstanding, they are poets too
T eaching or learning they're never alone
E ven though they might be new
T aking time to hold their hand
O ffering some great advice
P atiently, til they understand
O penly, and always nice
E ven if you're a master poet
T eaching, may be your gift
R eaching those, who just don't know it
Y ou can set their minds adrift
S o thanks to all that help us write
O r who's keeping us in the loop
U ntil my fingers, no longer type
P raises, to all at the soup
