A Treasure
When I think of you dear Marcia
I hear laughter in the air
A sound that’s so contagious
You cannot help but share.
I see a warm sweet smile
Ever present on your face
Emitting such a glow
Your heart to embrace.
Your voice so kind and gentle
The care taken with words you speak
No harshness or cruelty from you
Of this I find unique.
A heart full of compassion
Hugs available when happy or sad
Listening but not judgmental
Such a treasure to be had.
Happiness and health my wish for you
As this new chapter in your life begins
I will miss you very much
And my heart you’ll stay within.
