A Toy Box

Come let's explore.
Children three to four
Dump toys from a toy box on to the floor.
Delighted shouts come from their cores
As treasures lost have been found makes
Their hearts soar.
Wait. There's more
Happy sounds coming from the bedroom
Through the open door
Lets me know my children will be busy for
Hours with this score.
Of course clean up will be a chore.
Unless I keep them corralled so they can't
Deplore.

cute one. It's certainly a good way to keep them occupied, but soon enough they will be throwing away coloring books and asking for cell phones!

Thank you Andrea. It was a great way to keep them occupied. I am thankful all my children are grown. I get to play with the grandchildren now.

This is beautiful; there is nothing as wonderful as the "happy sounds ". Your rhyming is fabulous too!
