A Toast
By looking back it’s rather hard to tell,
Whether I had lived or lived through Hell.
What counts is - I joyfully survived
Life’s bumpy, dangling, and perilous ride.
And now at peace, I dare to reminisce
On every curve of fate I didn’t miss.
Filled up with joy and woe I raise my grail
To high spirits that conquer and prevail.
