A Tiny Trick
A Tiny Trick
Raised my children well or at least I thought I did,
Must have missed something, honesty may have slid.
While my daughter waits to get a teaching position,
She took two part time jobs to improve her disposition.
At a learning centre, children’s reading problems she relieves.
Serving at a restaurant, sometimes her customers she deceives.
They order a small meal, she suggests an added dip or side,
They’re appreciative little knowing the added cost is applied.
You see her hourly rate is far less than basic minimum wage,
She needs a good tip to make ends meet and fully engage,
So the power of persuasion or suggestion, you take your pick
Is it criminal or genius, not sure but she considers it a tiny trick.
