A Timeless Verse
His sands cascade in quiet shift,
A silent and unending gift,
The old soul within you, so bold,
Oh, merciful Lord, bless my soul.
The hours flow in a constant run,
Beneath the ever-watching sun,
A story waiting to be told,
Oh, merciful Lord, bless my soul.
The sun may rise, the day may wane,
Through all the joy and all the pain,
When shadows fall and doubts take hold,
Oh, merciful Lord, bless my soul.
For in this life, a path we tread,
May peaceful thoughts fill every head,
Let not the heart grow weak or cold,
Oh, merciful Lord, bless my soul.
