A Time To Turn
For awhile, I felt confident that we had confessed our SINS and made AMENDS, coming so FAR, and even raising the BAR. But sadly now, the deeper I look and the more I DISCERN, the more I see that so much more we have to LEARN. I sense that we have a ways to go to reach that STAR.
Sure, our planet would be a better place if all the world was a STAGE; Where each of us could read our own lines and slowly turn the PAGE; Where no one STOLE and SOLD another's ROLE in an attempt to CONTROL; Where each one sought the other's good, helping them reach their GOAL.
We all lose when we insist on going SOLO and curtailing another's water FLOW. The Lone Ranger needed TONTO, and without each other, we cannot GROW. No one wins when we DEBATE and HATE, disparage our sisters and disrespect our BROTHERS. There are resources enough; the planet is willing and patient enough, if only we would reach out and touch enough and love one ANOTHER.
We all win when we sing our own song at the beat of someone else's DRUM. O God I humbly PRAY TODAY, turn us your WAY; MAY your will be done, and may your kingdom come.
