A TIME TO REFLECT

A TIME TO REFLECT I am a dark mirror, hung on this wall People pass by me and hardly glance My purpose is not a mere reflection But to show every single imperfection It is why few stop and adopt a stance I’m unsure if there is any point at all Yes, all images are of course, reversed What was left is right as it now appears But unlike my cousins with shiny glass Whose raison d’etre is often mere farce I am now used to reflecting their tears As they still look at me and feel cursed

a poignant and thought provoking poem, Howard. Your rhyme scheme was smooth. I particularly liked "I am now used to reflecting their tears As they still look at me and feel cursed. Outstanding!
