A Time Just For Us
The day that you and I first met
Was a moment that was touched by destiny
Over these twenty-four years together
You've showed me how love should really be
I fell in love with you instantly
You fell for me and my young son
We didn't know where things would lead
Or how strong our love would become
Our family life started right away
We raised our boys into fine men
Now a new phase begins in our life
Giving us time that we didn't have back then
While we have both grown a bit older
Each one of us in our own way
Our step has become a little slower
And our hair is turning a little gray
Our boys are grown and gone now
No need to make a fuss
Because now we have our time
A time that's just for us.
