Notes About The Poem

Listen to poem:

A Time For Us, Sonata

A Time For Us, Sonata For our time has come when we walk side-by-side and glance at each other with small talk and smiles of deep thoughts of yesterdays and not of things of tomorrow as we both tighten the grips of our hands we trace our feelings through our grins consistently timed as our minds are one accordingly, amidst the lull of our winks we embrace, arms enwrapped to tender the moment as we stopped our heads tilt as our lips touched the the fullness of each other's breaths and taste our souls then look lovingly deep into each other eyes and smile repeatedly we would then walk e'er so slowly down the park path passing others and acknowledging nods and more smiles saying e'er so oft sweet nothings to each other amidst the soft patter of our feet that is in concertation of our heartbeats pulsating venation that threads throughout our bodies and our lifeline to each others true devotion and casting our cares to the side relinquishing them like it were just yesterday's news, talking with giddiness and paces often in strides or perhaps not when in concerning conversation-worthy of contemplation but not to the point of distress for we will then better the moment that that subject matter will resolve itself through clearer minds for this is not much time for such and such, and no sooner said, we return to more joviality and whatnots enjoying the company of each other for this is that rare occasion to entertain elder heads who possess younger hearts. So now as we reach the halfway point of our rendezvous as our arms swing e'er so gently, mild words in exchange as we head back home knowing that our lasting smile denotes the fact that the consequence will revisit us once again, . . . and again. 2020 January 26 *1st Place* True Love ~~Chantelle Anne Cooke 2020 January 28 *1st Place* SONATA LYRICS ~~James Edward Lee Sr 2020 February 13 *4th Place* Favourite Poem from January 2020 ~~Julia Ward
