A Tiger’s Way

The tiger lays on the cliff
Sunning his paws
He slowly yawns
Cleans his claws

King of his valley
Leader of his pack
His strips are many
His power unmatched

Waiting patiently for his prey
As he is picky today
Looking for the right beast
Something within his reach

He lets out a mighty roar
As he is getting bored
With every step he takes
The prey run in his wake

The beast sees his prey
His dinner for the day
Sharing with the pack that dare
To approach and match his stare

A tigress he has at home
Cubs he calls his own
For them he fights
Showing all his might

Protector of his pride
As they play outside
Eagar to watch them grow
Until they go on their own
