A Thought Before the Sabbath

The door closes on the past week
No more to strive, to work, to seek

Enter an oasis in time, to reflect and refresh
~ to exalt the spirit over the flesh

A thoughtful piece worthy of pondering.

I thought so too, actually. (Started it at 6:21 p.m; posted at 6:28 p.m., when I had to get off the computer for 25 hours.). Sometimes good stuff can come from a looming deadline...

It wouldbe amazing to see all the candles glowing, and the silence would capture a feeling of holiness to all. It would refresh both mind and spirit to face the week ahead with joy in your heart. I loved this couplet, Gershon, a fav for me, Thank you.
