A Thankful Thought

If there was one forgotten Thank You
Or when spoken was most hastily said
I ask for your pardon
With these following Thank You's ahead

Thank you for your gentle touch
Upon reaching for my hand
Thank you for your loving smiles
Which helps me understand

Thank you for your calm
It settles all my fears
Thank you for your stay
And touching my last tear

Thank you for your stance
Fearless and so strong
Ridding me of those
Who only do me wrong

Thank you for your lead
When I begin to stray
Thank you for your find
When I had lost my way

Thank you for your Faith
When I was in wrong
Thank you for your words
It's these that make me strong

And thanks but for the Grace of God
This blessing He sends
You from Him, bestowed on me,
At last, "A True Friend!"
