A Tear For You

As i beheld your radiant face from a distant place
i thought i seen a tear in your eye and i wonder why
surely what i had seen ran deeply inside
beyond the realm of your outer life
from a heart of love and care there a memory did arise
this is what made you cry
for without tears from our eyes
life would become empty vain and dry
let not memories cease to flow
as a river from thy soul
for it is with these we do write
our music poetry and song
