A Tear
A tear was shed today because a boy became a man
A life of crime he chose, alone in a cell he stands
A tear was shed today a family was torn apart a mother
And father divorced and broke their Childs heart
A tear was shed today as the preacher said God Bless
A flag was given to a family as a Hero was laid to rest
A tear was shed today it fell like a drop of rain a mother
Lossed a child her joy turned to pain
A tear was shed today a man was born again his sins
Were washed away he rejoiced with family and friends
A tear was shed today a baby was born into this world
A father smiled as he held his baby girl
A tear was shed today God answered a prayer, a homeless
Man was set free from a life of despair
A tear was shed today as God gave these words to me
I thanked him for the gift of writing poetry
