A Taste of Your Own Medicine
7/8/17
Laughing when others crumble
So very far from trustful
Time I cause you trouble
And make you struggle
Whether or not it makes you humble
A swinging pendulum
I'm being genuine
Here with a second wind
And sudden surge of adrenaline
Come get a taste of your own medicine
Since you're daily regimen
Has been taking advantage of denizens
You'll eventually be food for nature, including pelicans
The outside soft like gelatin
And inside hard because of the skeleton
A world so chaotic and hectic
Catch you when you least expect it
Without a question
Not going to teach you a lesson
Or send you a message
But maybe you'll find out if there is hell and heaven
Or other dimensions
Without talking to a reverend
When shrapnel is imbedded
Or after you are beheaded
