A Summertime Friends Get Together

It’s early in the daytime when the sun is coming up I go into the kitchen, pour my coffee in a cup, Then I brush my teeth and comb my hair And I figure out what I have to wear, Bathing suit, shorts or a cute summer dress Tried them all on, can’t decide I confess, I pick out a romper with sandals in gold A purse and a hat that’s about three years old, I made up two salads, both different kinds Goat cheese and crackers and two bottles of wine, Then I jumped in my sports car and hoped for good weather Because today is my Summertime Friends Get-together.
