"a Summer Story"

It was a cool summer night
The wind was blowing oh so light
There we stood in a field filled with headstones
We were so curious of the stories that were known
As kids we laughed and thought not much of it
But from a distance you could see the figure so fit
The lantern swayed from right to left
My eyes opened wide as this figure slowly crept
Hair on my arms and neck started to stand
As I looked around almost would have ran
As I moved to the gate with my heart in my throat
a touch on my shoulder and one on my coat
