A Summer Constanza
Those lazy, hazy, crazy days
of youth are part of mind’s keepsake.
We’d head out to the nearest lake
when summer sun was all ablaze.
We’d sing our songs and sip sweet wine,
and lock our lips till hearts align.
While streaming down it’s tanning rays
we’d worship Sol by swimming pool
in hot July while keeping cool.
Our summer parties were the craze
as summer sun would start to set;
those playful times I’ll ne’er forget.
Oh how I miss those carefree ways
while clinging to life’s simple truth,
and holding my sweet bird of youth.
Those lazy, hazy, crazy days
when summer sun was all ablaze
while streaming down it’s tanning rays,
our summer parties were the craze;
oh how I miss those carefree ways.
