A Successful Picnic
Bear is lollygagging next to wolf, who is snoring big time.
Mama deer is watering daisies, I think some are mine.
All the breads and cheese have made the animals feel tired.
Two mice are comfortable, but the salamander is wired.
Crow and cardinal have made a little separate picnic spread.
Bread and wine are plentiful, the wine a champagne red.
Dragonfly and damselfly easily slice the pinwheel bread.
Butterflies land on every petal, the wren easily said.
The picnic is a huge success, no fights, nothing to fear.
Bear devours the popcorn chain, saying “Let’s meet again next year.”
Some of the animals laugh at this thought.
Because they do this every year, it always sought.
