a subtle foe is about my experience with addiction and depression .

One Day one Step one inch away, yet miles and miles I can stray away.
I have been there before but made it back
The darkness I felt was cold and black
If I fall again God help me please
Its my soul he wants and on my knees
If the dark one comes please make him go
He is not a friend but a subtle foe
