A Subject

I would not like to be a Queen of a dominion
I need my independence to have my own opinion
Opinions without responsibility or dedication
Some I can keep to myself without discrimination
As Queen, I would have to be dignified and discrete
Mix with every culture, the starving and elite
Put on a smile while holding back a tear
Listen to the news that causes everyone to fear
For their future and their fellow man
Thank God I am not a Queen
I'm happy who I am
