A Struggle

It's a struggle to live every day,
To get up out of bed,
To put one foot in front of the other,
To get out of my head.

It's a struggle to see your name,
And not collapse in tears,
To not reach out to you,
Not to whisper to you my fears.

It's a struggle to see you live your life,
Without me by your side,
It takes everything in me,
Not to run away and hide.

Beautiful poem Stephanie. I hope you know it does get better and I wish you luck in separating yourself from this hurt. Thank you for your words!
