A story to tell
If our story was sat on a bookshelf how would it be to re-read it yourself Would there be tears shed over past regrets or happiness as our life is re-tread. Could it ever be explained in a book what we experienced during childhood Would reading the topic be off limits or a most enjoyable revisit. Though back in the day times were indeed tough we were upbeat and contented enough We would appreciate all that we had life as I remember was not that sad. A roller coaster, many slides and swings the joys, heartaches and traumas life brings Should our story be acted out on stage would we desire to script-write every page? Then when doth cometh our expiration it’s hoped we receive a grand narration That folk would have only dear things to say putting it out there in a kindly way. Everyone has their own story to tell whether it would or would not stand up well We must wait to find if our history makes for an engaging delivery.

Well said Belle. When we stand before the Great Throne of Judgement lets hope God doesn't find too much that is displeasing and that Jesus will stand up for us. However He has said that He will confess us before God Almighty only if we confess Him before men. God Bless my friend. JB

Thank you Judy, it’s to be hoped on our judgment day there’s nothing we’ve done standing in our way... God bless dear poet pal... Belle

Hi Belle, we went to a funeral one day, it was for Elias's long friend's father who was a grumpy, disgruntled, arrogant man who wanted his thing to always be done and nobody eles's. A total egotist. somebody sang Frank Sinatra's song "I did it my way" - she sang like an angel. Excellent poem, I understand exactly what you are describing and creating in your lovely poem. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Hi Jennifer, most people on hindsight regret some of their behaviour in the past and then mellow as the end of life comes into sight, if they seek forgiveness for themselves, as we forgive them, then they can go peacefully to their eternal rest. Blessings and hugs ~ Belle

Our book of life would certainly be a roller of ups a downs, twists and turns. Hopefully no pages of regret. Tom

Hi Belle, I agree we all have a story to tell whether it's in a “ tiny” room or on a “grand“ arena. It's “our” story and history, and we must be proud of it. I enjoyed reading this well written write- Alexis

Hi Alexis, we all have our own story, whether it goes down the ages or not, it’s in the lap of the Gods. Thank you ~ Belle
