A Storm Not Far Behind
The sky is gray over the valley
with a storm not far behind.
I've seen the last of the warmer days
as this blizzard comes to mind.
People have now gotten ready
for what they know must eventually come.
They say we'll get at least two feet;
a terrible prospect for some.
They say this one is the last big storm
before the long, drawn out winter ends.
But no consolation is this to me
for I've known Springs' warmth again.
