A STOLEN SALVATION

He promised me paradise
on the eve of His own demise

it was a stolen salvation
a gift from Jesus Christ
it was a stolen salvation
I was granted eternal life

He promised me
a heaven bound liberation
In the face of
His own earthly condemnation

it was a stolen salvation
a gift from Jesus Christ
it was a stolen salvation
I was granted eternal life

compassion on the cross
deliverence was given
a penitent thief
by Christ was forgiven
compassion on the cross
was Jesus our Savior
humanity personified
always granting favor

it was a stolen salvation
a gift from Jesus Christ
it was a stolen salvation
I was granted eternal life

even though I thought I was
too late
Jesus still gave me grace

It was a stolen salvation
a gift from Jesus Christ
it was a stolen salvation
I was granted eternal life

I wasn't a Christian nor a fan
of the one called the Son of Man
unaware of His ministry
all I cared about was me

it was a stolen salvation
a gift from Jesus Christ
it was a stolen salvation
I was granted eternal life

Jesus looked beyond my sins
granted me grace
most undeserving
yet
by the Holy Spirit
I was embraced

It was considered a stolen salvation
that gift from Jesus Christ
it was considered a stolen salvation
He granted me eternal life

It was a stolen salvation
a gift from Jesus Christ
it was a stolen salvation
the Messiah granted me eternal life
