A Steep Rocky Eminence
A steep rocky eminence
Is too tough to climb;
One will feel the glory
After the hard and trying time.
A steep rocky eminence
Expresses the Lord's power;
It speaks of His mighty hand
That truly works wonder.
A scar in an area of high ground
Is so difficult to reach;
One will tread on the rough roads
To learn lessons that they teach.
A scar in an area of high ground
Is near the vale and hill;
The eyes of the beholder
Are filled with so much thrill.
An isolated or protruding rock
Replenishes the thirsty soul;
Knowing that God created it
Amazing and beautiful.
An isolated or protruding rock
Is a beauty of nature;
It feeds the poet's mind,
Bringing him spiritual pleasure.
A bare place the trekker has found
Is on the mountainside;
The wind whispers softly,
As the moments pass and glide.
A bare place the trekker has found
Gives him hope and ardor;
The clouds above the valley
See the climber's vigor.
Not covered by plants and trees,
Serenity surrounds the land;
Quiet yellow rays above
Are made by the Father's hand.
Glorify the Almighty God,
Offer praise to the Providence;
One can lift his voice
Even in a steep rocky eminence.
