A Special Value

Why not value our aged
And always let them know
Their brilliance radiate
A special loving glow

They only ask a visit
If just for a little while
They'll shower us with kisses
With love on every smile

They want to be made special
Even if it's a lie
With promise to come back real soon
As we leave their side

What we take for granted
Never lasts for long
We think tomorrow that they'll be here
But one day they'll be one!
