A Special Time
A Special Time April 24, 2016
I walked around a second hand store, seen a picture of the queen
taken many years ago, not the best I've ever seen
It was stored beside forgotten times, that's where it should stay
There was other pictures lying around, back in the good old day
I moved around and that second hand store to see what I could find
I found pictures of heroes gone, pictures of a special time
I dusted off that picture and handled it with care
It took me to a time so special, I wished that I was there
Nineteen sixteen was so special, You all know what I mean
Our heroes stood together, they fought to free our land
The wrote the proclamation, special words for Ireland
I took the picture with me, I dusted it off with care
I placed it on my wall at home with feelings everywhere
I walked around a second hand store, seen a picture of the queen
taken many years ago, not the best I've ever seen
